Sopley Mill Wedding Photography

This wedding, the totally awesome Sopley Mill spring wedding of Sian & Tim….where do I start? Well first of all it was always set to be one of my biggest highlights of 2018. And I don’t just mean on a professional level either.

You see our groom, Tim, has been a friend of the family for many years, ever since our children were little ones. But actually that’s not that long, thinking about it. It’s just that somehow it feels longer. And so when he finally announced his engagement to the lovely Sian not only was I over the moon for him but quickly felt extremely honoured when he and Sian asked me to capture their wedding for them. But this was some 18 months before the eventual day and much planning and organising on their part had to ensue.

One of the first things on their list, of course, was to arrange the venue and set the date. I was chuffed to bits when they announced it would be Sopley Mill, located on the edge of the New Forest and just a stone throw away from where my in-laws live and so I had always known and loved the area.

A gorgeous spring wedding it was set to be and as it turned out the weather was just perfect. In fact I’m sure it was pretty much the first of the many beautiful, hot, sunny days that we were to be blessed with through the summer of 2018. Although owing to the very nature of Sian and Tim’s wonderful, chilled out and fun-loving personalities and adding into the mix the venue, their attention to detail, the other suppliers they chose (see at the end of the photos for details) and the rest of their guests this was always going to be a fabulous wedding, no matter what!
